Recently I submitted a couple of stories to an author that was putting together a few anthologies. Right now it looks like they are both going to make it to print, but nothing is guaranteed.
As I heard back from the author, I realized that anthologies were great for talented writers that need to break into print. Anthologies are are actual books that you can hold in your hands and see your name in print. There's nothing like going to a book store, pulling a book off the shelf and seeing your name there. It makes you feel like a real writer.
