A writer can use every bit of help they can get. There are all kinds of books, magazines and websites geared towards helping writers with their craft. Being a Christian, I found a website that helps me not just in writing, but in my faith as well.
Faithwriters.com is an excellent site for writers and for Christians. I wrote a review of the site and think the site has something for everyone. It has great resources, encouragement, and ways to help you grow as a writer and a Christian.
They have a weekly challenge that helps you to write to a topic, word count, and time limit. This is one of the most unique features of the site that I think is really helpful. They also have an active forum and many other ways to learn about writing.
There is some excellent ways to market yourself and get your name out there. The writing challenge is one way, but there are a few others, though some of them cost a little money.
This summer they will be having a conference. There is going to be a lot of great information, and they're working on getting some editors and agents there. It's in the Metro-Detroit area, so if you might be around there in August, think about signing up. I swear it's much warmer then than it is now. :)
Take a look at the review and then take a look at the site and let me know what you think. Agree or disagree, I would love to know what you think about the site.
